Finance Minister Rishi Sunak has resisted pressure to do more now to address the crisis facing many households. He said he would like to see the size of further increases in household energy rates in the fall before deciding on further support.

YouGov survey showed that 72% of respondents think that Prime Minister Boris Johnson's government is mismanaging the economy, which almost doubled its share a year ago.
